Overview

Konekta helps users create, join, and manage online communities. The app includes community posts, comments, quests, rewards, events, games, direct messages, profile features, ads, push notifications, and payment-related promotion features.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices users have.

Information We Collect

• Account information: user ID, display name, username, email address, profile photo, sign-in provider, and account creation date.
• Community information: communities created or joined, roles, points, badges, quests, rewards, event participation, member logs, reports, and moderation actions.
• User-generated content: posts, profile photos, comments, messages, announcements, uploaded proof images, community logos, reward images, and other content users choose to upload.
• Payment and promotion records: promotion credit package, payment status, provider checkout ID, payment method type, timestamps, and related transaction metadata. We do not store full card numbers.
• Device and app data: push notification token, app version, device platform, crash or diagnostic information if enabled, and security logs needed to protect the service.
• Ad data: rewarded-ad views, reward eligibility, daily limits, and ad-related identifiers or events handled by advertising services such as Google AdMob and Google AdSense. On the web, these services may use cookies, local storage, IP address, browser information, and device identifiers to deliver, limit, personalize, and measure ads, subject to consent and applicable law.

How We Use Information

• To create and manage accounts.
• To let users create, join, and participate in communities.
• To show posts, comments, messages, quests, rewards, leaderboards, events, games, and notifications.
• To secure point awarding, reward claims, community moderation, and payment-related actions.
• To review reports, prevent abuse, enforce rules, and keep communities safe.
• To process promotion credit purchases and confirm payment events.
• To show mobile rewarded ads, web display ads, measure advertising performance, and enforce applicable ad limits.
• To improve app reliability, analytics, and user experience.

Services We Use

Konekta may use third-party services to operate the app, including:

• Firebase Authentication for sign-in.
• Cloud Firestore for app database records.
• Firebase Storage for uploaded images.
• Firebase Cloud Functions for secure server actions.
• Firebase Cloud Messaging or Expo notifications for push notifications.
• Google Sign-In for authentication.
• Google AdMob for mobile rewarded ads.
• Google AdSense for responsive display ads on the Konekta website.
• PayMongo or other approved payment processors where allowed by platform rules.

Cookies and Web Advertising

The Konekta website may use cookies or similar browser storage through Google AdSense to serve and measure advertisements, prevent fraud, limit repeated ads, and, where permitted, personalize advertising. Users in regions that require consent will be shown an applicable consent choice before personalized advertising is served. Browser controls may also be used to manage or remove cookies.

Sharing of Information

We do not sell users' personal information. We may share information when needed to operate the app, comply with law, prevent fraud or abuse, process payments, show ads, provide analytics, or enforce our Terms and Community Guidelines.

Some profile and community information may be visible to other users depending on app features and privacy settings, such as username, display name, profile photo, public posts, community membership visibility, badges, leaderboard ranking, and comments.

User Choices

• Users can update their nickname, username, profile photo, and profile visibility options where available.
• Users can delete their own posts or comments where the app allows it.
• Users can leave communities unless restricted by owner-only responsibilities.
• Users can turn off push notifications from device settings.
• Users can request account or data deletion by contacting support.

Data Retention

We keep information as long as needed to provide Konekta, meet legal and payment obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and maintain security records. Some records, such as moderation logs, payment records, and reward claim history, may be kept even after content is removed where necessary for safety, audit, or legal reasons.

Children

Konekta is not intended for children under the minimum age required by applicable law. Users who are not old enough to use online community, messaging, payment, and advertising features should not use the app.

Security

We use Firebase security rules, server-side validation, authentication, and administrative controls to help protect user data. No system is perfect, and users should avoid posting sensitive personal information in communities, profiles, posts, comments, or messages.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy as Konekta changes. The updated version will show a new last updated date.
